Since everything in life is connected to energy, every physical and mental healing process must ultimately involve energy, too. The here used concept of Energy Healing integrates Barbara Brennan’s theories (as found in her books ‘Hands of Light’ and ‘Light Emerging’) and the teachings of Caroline Myss (as found in ‘Anatomy of the Spirit’).
There are suggestions that in years to come Energy Healing may be acknowledged as vibrational medicine as scientists are beginning to recognize the spiritual dimension of human beings. The discovery of Kirlian’s electrophotograpy made the energy body (commonly known as ‘aura’) visible for the first time. Since then the connection between energy, vibration and its impact on the organismic balance has become a subject of interest. According to Richard Gerber (‘Vibrational Medicine, Handbook of Subtle Energy Therapies’) research suggests that the etheric body forms a type of holographic magnetic field which communicates with the electrically based matter and the cells of the physical body
Energy Healing recognizes and pays tribute to the fact, that there appear to be deep underlying energy patterns to our existence which have an impact on our health and well-being: Just as we have a physical anatomy, we also have an energy anatomy which surrounds and permeates our body in different ways.
Energy Healers work with these structures: The human energy field (aura) and various energy centres within the body (mostly known as chakras) are addressed and treated here. The energetic manifestation of unresolved problems, stresses, childhood experiences, traumas and day to day issues show themselves in various ways by causing mental, physical, emotional or spiritual complications. Any appearing blockages, lack or excess of energy, imbalances and disconnections are here addressed and balanced in order to restore the natural, healthy flow and to support the healing process.
“Inspired by Caroline Myss, Barbara Brennan, Bessel van der Kolk and Carl Gustav Jung I truly believe that the direct or indirect disturbances of the natural flow in our energy anatomy need to be addressed, balanced and integrated on an energetic, emotional and psychological level alike. I have found the work of healing can present itself as a process of uncovering layers of consciously and unconsciously held imbalances in our mind, body and energy field. Working energetically and therapeutically in a responsible manner will gently allow for these layers to present themselves at just the right time for the client to be able to integrate the induced changes.”
